Every Classical Imagined animation begins with a character. Not a logo, not a template — a small creature in a storybook world, waiting for a child’s name to appear and bring their story to life.
We have six characters now. Each lives in its own world, set to its own piece of classical music. Here’s a little about each of them and why they exist.
Unicorn and Fairy
This was the first character we made, and it remains the most popular. A sparkling unicorn and a little fairy celebrate together in a magical storybook world. It appeals to the child who believes, wholeheartedly, in magic — which, at the right age, is most of them. The animation is soft and luminous, full of sparkle and gentle movement. If you’re buying for a child who loves anything enchanted, this is the safe bet.
Fox and Fairy
A gentle fox and a fairy share a birthday wish in an enchanted woodland. This one came from wanting something a little quieter than the unicorn — still magical, but with more warmth than sparkle. The fox has a calm, watchful quality that children respond to. Parents who want something beautiful but not too “princessy” tend to gravitate here.
Teddy Bears’ Picnic
Three teddy bears set out a birthday picnic in a sunlit meadow. This is our most nostalgic character. There’s something about teddy bears at a picnic that feels timeless — it could have been illustrated in 1926 or 2026 and the feeling would be the same. The music is warm and playful. It’s the one grandparents choose most often.
Owl Orchestra
A wise little owl conducts a mice orchestra for a magical birthday celebration. This character is for the child who is a bit different — curious, thoughtful, slightly serious. The owl’s world is cosy and musical, full of tiny instruments and attentive little mice. It’s the one I’d choose for a child who likes to sit and watch things carefully.
Bunny Storybook
A little bunny explores a magical storybook garden on a birthday adventure. The bunny is gentle and exploratory — always discovering something new around the next corner. This animation has the most movement of any of our characters, with the bunny hopping through different scenes. It’s perfect for the child who can’t sit still.
Dinosaur and Cake
A friendly dinosaur discovers a birthday cake in a prehistoric party adventure. Our newest character, and the one that made the most children laugh during testing. There’s something inherently funny about a dinosaur finding a birthday cake, and we leaned into that. The animation has a playful energy that’s different from the others. If the birthday child is obsessed with dinosaurs — and at a certain age, roughly half of them are — this is the one.
Choosing the right one
People sometimes ask which character is “best”. There isn’t one. Each was designed for a different kind of child and a different kind of moment. The unicorn is for magic. The fox is for warmth. The teddy bears are for nostalgia. The owl is for curiosity. The bunny is for adventure. The dinosaur is for joy.
The right character is the one that makes you think of that child. You’ll know when you see it.
